TOATOA JERSEY SALE SM HEAD CATALOGUED The .second annual sale ol Mr. W. J. Paul’s Toatoa Jerseys is to be held at the vendor’s Opotiki homestead by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, on Wednesday, July 12, when a particularly attractive offering will be .submitted to breeders. In all, 83 head have been catalogued, comprising, in addition to the entire 1937 crop of heifers, 20 splendid stud cows, 12 rising two-year-old bulls and 13 yearling bulls. Mr. Paul is well known throughout New Zealand as an eminently successful breeder of type and production cattle, as the many big C.Q.R. records and .high classification awards to the credit of the stud bear evidence. Records up to 7201 b fat have been established by heifers on high, rugged country, and the success of these females o n the richer lowlands has been little short of astounding.

Mr. Paul’s imported bull, Brampton Owl Standard, has proved a brilliant breeding sire, and undoubtedly will qualify for C. 8.8. honours in the near future. He is largely represented by daughters and granddaughters in the offering for July 12.
