REP. HOCKEY FIXTURES
NAPIER THIS MONTH N.Z. TOURNEY ENTRY DECISION DEFERRED Considerable interest has been shown by the Poverty Bay' Hockey Association in a proposal to send a team to the New Zealand womens championship tournament to be held in Blenheim at the end of next month.
A further discussion took place at a meeting of the association's management committee last night, but following an inquiry regarding the financial aspect, the meeting decided to defer .lie matter until next week, when the chairman. Mr. H. L-o Bas. would submit an estimate of the cost.
The management committee extended its congratulations to both Poverty Bav women’s teams for their performances in Wairoa on Saturday, the selector and manager, Mr. P. T. Tuhoc, and the chaperon. Mrs. D. Turbitt, also being complimented on the successes they had achieved in their respective spheres. The secretary was instructed to write to the Wairoa subassociation expressing thanks for the hospitality extended to the Poverty Bay teams. CarroJl Shield Challenge It was decided to advise the Napier sub-association that either July 15 or 22 would be suitable for the challenge match for the. Lady Carroll Shield, and it was suggested also that Napier should send men’s senior and junior teams on the same day. In addition, an invitation was extended to Hawke’s Bay to send a men’s representative team later (in the season.
The grounds' committee suggested several rearrangements in dressing accommodation, and these were agreed to. The committee was requested ,to make a room available foist. John Ambulance Division attendants if tat all possible. The Umpires’ Association advised that its meeting this week would be held .this evening. Saturday’s Draw

Krebs, G. File, G. Graham, H. K. Swan, P. T. Tuhoe, W. P. Tamihana, and the hon. secretary, Mr. Thomas. The official chaperon, Mrs. Turbitt, also was present.
