TWO SCORED AT PARK A EG GUY IN TOP FORM P.RIEEEWT ROUND PEAYED The fifth and sixth holes in one in Gisborne during the present golf season were scored on Saturday, the honour this time falling to two Pmk Club players, R. T. Porter and J. Madden, both of whom scored their “possibles" on Saturday afternoon. Porter led the way with a hole in one at the tenth, and half an hour later Madden sank his tee shot at the twelfth. Both paid the usual penally. POVERTY BAY CLUB At Poverty Bay. the feature of the week-end play was a brilliant round by the club professional. All'. Guy, who returned a card cf 68 while taking part in a four-ball best ball bogey match. Guy was out in 35 and on the home round did a very fine 33, includ.ng a two at the tenth, a four hole. Guy was on to the green from the tee and had little difficulty in sinking his putt for a two. Visit of Waikohu Players Over the week-end a visit was received from members of the Waikohu Goll' Club, when, under ideal conditions and with the course in good playing order, closely contested matches were played. With local knowledge in its favour the home team eventually emerged with the honours of the day. A return visit is to be paid to Waikohu on July 16. PARK CLUB Within half an hour on Saturday afternoon, two holes-in-one happened at the Park Club, R. T. Porter sinking his tee shot at the tenth and J. Madden repeating the performance at the twelfth. Both paid their “penalty.” In the semi-finals of the D.C.L. Cup, D. A. Wells accounted for F. R. Bould, 3 and 2, and P. H. Dow defeated J. McMillan, 3 and 1. The final will be played on a date to be arranged. In the play-off for the June tankard between jA. D. Tarr and H. A. Jensen, both players returned the same net scores, Tarr eventually winning.

The qualifying round for the PresidenfiisiCup resulted in G. Ardern returning the best net score, 92 —22 70, winning on the recount from G. Montgomery, 94 —24 —70, and J. Madden, 02—22—70.

Others to return good cards were: —D. A. Wells, 811—12—71; J. R. Murray, 89 —17 —72; E. Broad-hurst, 95—23—72; J. Mansfield, 78 —5 —73; S. Rule, 96—23—73.
