Veteran's of the South African and Great Wars paraded! in large numbers at St. Luke’s Church, Spring Creek, yesterday to pay (tribute to one of ’ their distinguished leaders, the la!to Major-General Sir Edward Chaytor. Members of Sir Edward Chaytor's family and a large number of local residents attended the memorial service, the Phunclh. being inadequate to accommodate the enlilrc congregation. Bishop Hilliard, Nelson, delivered an appropriate address in the course of which, alluding to the presence of so many of those who .served under Sir Edward Chaytor, he said that nothing finer had emerged from the wf.ir ■than the wonderful npirif of comradeship of the Diggers.
