The fl gent-General's Report. [per press association.] Wellington, This Day. The Agent-General cables as follows : ,; There is a dull sale for all qualities of mutton. The average price to-day for Canterbury is sd, Dunedin, Southland, and W. M. E. Company 43 J. o»her North Island 4£d; Itiverplate States, l:]d. There is a good demand for prime quality lamb. Australian is very mixed in quality. The average price for new season's is North Island Beef is depressed. The supplies of American chilled are large. Now Zealand hinds are 4? d ; fore?, Butter is dull. The price to-day is 103 a per cwfc. Cheese is very firm, thefprice being 68* per cwt. New Zealand is giving satisfaction to buyers. Hemp is steady, bul dull in distant deliveries. The price is good, fair Wellington grade on the spot £3B 10s per ton; January-March shipments Cocksfoot seed is quiet Price—New Zealand, 17s Gd per lb; Standard, 64s per cwt. Buyers are not keen tj do business in cocksfoot seed."
