Palmerston North, Jan 22 The weather was fine and the attendance again very good tor the second day’s races of the Foxton Racing Club. £13,865 was put through the tote for the two days, being an increase of £3,974, Results: January Handicap—Ballarat 1, Prisoner 2, Waireka 3, Time, 118; divs, £2 7s and £2 6s. Hack Hurdles-Otairi 1, Merry Boy 2, Hawera 3. Time,"2 52 35, divs, £2 7s £2 6s. President’s Handicap—Plaidie 1, Convoy 2, MusselS. Won by half a length. Time 2 0 8-5; divs, £3 8s and 9s. Grandstand —A.B.N. 1, Lifebelt 2, Prisoner 3. Time, 2 1 4-5 ; div, £3 10s and 19s. Carnarvon Welter —Handsome Rose 1, Alas 2, Westerley 3. Eime, 1 46 2-5; divs, £ll6s and £1 3s. Railway Handicap—Gold Dust 1, Hardwork 2, Elusion 8. Time 117 3-5; divs, £2 6s and 15s. Electric Hack—Nat Gould 1, Tirole 2, Endeavor 3. Time, 15; divs £7 4s and £1 Ss, Hawini and Tirole were bracketed.
