ACCLIMATISATION CONTROL.

I Colonial Association Formed. [psr press association.] Wellington, This Day. The representative conference of Acclimatisation Societies was opened to--day. 0. A. Fhzroy of Hawke’s Bay presided. The object was to consider the formation of an association of societies, and, if detpterned bn, formulate roles.

Fisher (Canterbury) moved that au association be formed, and eaid that it was suggested that it should exist at Wellington. Andrew (Wellington) moved as an amendment that in Hen of aa association, an annual conference be held at Wellington, considering that it would be difficult to find men able to devote sufficient time to the affairs of an association, and, further, that it might clash with the interests of individual societies. The amendment was negatived, and a New Zealand Association formed.
