This week’s Gazette notifies that on and after Ist January 1902, the signal flagstaff standing on Barrack Hill, Napier will bo removed to the highest point on the Lighouso Reserve, overlooking th< breakwaters. It is understood that Mr A. D. Chrisp, chief officer of the Moana, who is now in the colony on holiday leave, is to receive the appointment of harbourmaster at Gisborne.
