DOWIE THREATENED.

"Dr" John Dowie, tae head of the Zionist organisation in the United States, has been threatened by Anarchists. After the assassination of President McKinley, Mr Dowie preached an inflammatory surgeon in Ch'sago upon the conduct of Mr McK i-laj'a surgeons in administering. " poisonous stimulants, etc. Tw- days afterwards he received the fo?iowing letter :

'• Dear Sir,—l have read your sermon on the shooting of President McKinley, and your comments on his treatment by the surgeons. In order to test the efficacy of surgical treatment in your case, the 'C.S.A.,' of which I am a member, have decided that you shall be shot in the stomach as nearly as possible in the same spot that Mr McKinley was wounded. The result, with respect to your recovery without medical assistance, will be carefully watched. You may prepare yourself at once for this test or ordeal, for just as surely as night follows day, you will be shot before one year expires. You cannot prevent it by any means you may adopt. Prepare your system for this, as your reeovery is what we want. You will never see the tress bud twice.—Yours respectfully, J. Q. Tbess."
