Two hundred Beers attacked some of CrabWs wagons lagging in the rear north of Olanwilliam.- Three British were killed and 10 wounded out of 25. The Boers were repulsed. Lieut Russell of the West Yorkshires, a New Zealander died of wounds received at Beginderlyn.

Twenty batterys of field Garrison Artillery in South Africa, are returning to Indian, and England. The War Office has authorised the raising of 600 yeomanry. The Boers raided West Charleston unsuccessfully, and tampered with the Natives.

Kuyper, the Dutch Premier, in the course of an interview, said the Courts and aristocracy of Europe were all friendly to England. The Boers had no friends in the official world, but the sympathy of the masses increasing many emissaries were constantly coming down from England representing advocates of peace. Anything positive, however, must emanate from the British Government.
