MISS JANET WALDORF.
For a holiday attraction the visit of the talented and charming young actress, Miss Janet Waldorf, could not have been better timed, for at the end of the present week country visitors will be pouring in from all quarters for the New Year festivities and the races, and will of a surety not miss the chance of seeing the finest actress and company that has yet visited the West Coast. The programme for the season has been arranged as follows, and it will at once bo seen that it is as varied as the plays are delightful, Saturday, 28th December, Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy "As you Like ItMonday, 30nh Dec, Alexander Dumas’ great emotional tragedy, “Camille Tuesday, 31st Dec, Mario Lovell’s fine poetical drama, “Ingomat” ; New Year’s night, Ist Jan., Bulwor Lytton’s world famous love episode, "The Lady of Lyons”; Friday, 2nd Jan., (the last night of the season), Shakespeare’s immortal love tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet.’’ With this feast of beautiful plays, portrayed by such artists as Mies Waldorf, Mr Norval Macgregor, and the capable supporting company, the public will be given a rare treat that heretofore has not come their way, and which may not occur again for many years to come. The season will be under the patronage of His Worship the Mayor (Andrew Matheson, Esq., A. R. Guinness, Esq., M.H.R., and leading citizens.
