chairmad proposed the adoption of the report and balance-sheet which showed that during the year 6000 new policies assuring £1,367,000 were issued, premiums amounting to £55,000 the record for new business for the association. The revenue from all sources now exceeds half a million. The rate of interest earned was £4 16s 7d per cent, and was more than sufficient to pay the whole of the death claims. Notwithstanding the large amount of new business the expenses of management show a substantial decrease. The assurance fund now stands at over £3,265,000. The actuary is now engaged making bonus valuations.
