Long, Secretary to the Navy of America has approved of the courts’ findings of fact in Schley Sampson case, and recommended that proceedings bo dropped, but at Roosevelt's instance has demanded Maohay’s resignation. Root, Secretary of War, acting on Roosevelt's instructions reprimanded General Nelson Miles, Commandant of' the Army, for commenting on the ease and infringing the army regulations. Miles explained that he merely blamed individuals for impunging Sohlsy's oourage and efficiency. He did not intend to criticise the Court,,;
