NOT THE MAN.

(To the Editor)

Sib, —As some impression seems to have got around that I am the person alluded to, of the name of Tracey, ia the charge of the theft of the two £3 iQtes, the property of J. M’Lellan, of Moana, on Novcmner Bth against L. Anderson, I shall be glad if you will allow me to contradict the same. I have resided in Eeefton since Labor Lay (9th October) where I am still at work, and have never resided at Moana in my life. Thanking you in anticipation, I am &c, Thomas Patrick Tracey, Eeefton, 19th December, 1301.
