THE EIGHTH CONTINGENT.
(pee press association.) Nelson, This Day. The volunteer districts quota of the Eighth Contingent will be 70 men, made up as follows : Blenheim, *MotuekaWestport, Greymouth, and Hokitika ten each, Nelson twenty. Wellington, This Day. For the purpose of mobilising the Eighth Contingent, officers commanding the districts are instructed to arrange that the selected men shall reach Wellington or Christchurch between the 3rd and 6th of January. Recruits are to be fair riders, unmarried, and between 19 and 35 years of age. Though returned troopers are to have preference, none who have been invalided for enteric or malaria within twelve month?, are to bo taken.
