MACLAREN ON THE CAMPAIGN.
Readers will probably remember the exciting series of articles contributed (by Banjitsinhji to the Australasian “Review of Reviews” during the course of the last English Eleven’s tour i.i Australia. Mr A. C. MacLaren has undertaken during the present visit to supply similar articles to the ‘.Review,” and the first of his contributions appears in tbe current issue (November), just to band. It makes interesting reading, and gives promise that the collection will be quite up, if not superior, to Eanji’s. Whilst not afraid to crisicise, Mr MacLaren docs so in a perfectly friendly manner, and his remarks will doudtless be accepted in the spirit in which they are written. The articles are to be accompanied by photographs, and we shall look forward; with expectant interest for the remainder of the set. No. I—the one before us at present—opens with a note on the changed conditions of the international matches, goes on to discuss the representative nature of the visiting team, touches on the “umpire question,” and concludes with a racy description of the individual players.
