Dunedin, This Day. The latest candidate in the field for Caversham is Mr. A. M. Stewart, VicePresident of the Trade 3 and Labour Council and also of the Workers' Political Committe and President of the Furniture Unions. He is an avowed Government supporter.

Mr. Haly, a member of the Conciliation Board, declines to accept nomination till the result of the ballot of the Workers' Political Union is declared. Mr. J - G. Ramsay, ex- Chairman of the Education Board, is also mentioned as a candidate.

The presence of the Premier and Sir Joseph Ward on the spot may be taken advantage of before a decision is arrived at as to which of the many Richards in the field shall have Miniserial backing.
