Public School Sportsi Chblstc'hubch, November 30.
The second annual sports meeting of the Public School Association came off at Lancaster Park to-day, and was a huge success. There was a very large crowd of spectators. The massed drills by 2,000 children wa3 most impressive. There were 3,5000 entries and over 1,500 competitors. The Normal School.won the
Shield. Considering the large number of entries, the management was excellent,
Inquest. The inquest on the boy Craze, killed on the railway on Friday, was held to-day. The verdict was accidental death, no blame baiog attached to anyone. The opinion was expressed that steps should ba taken to prevent newsboys passing from carriage to carriage while the train is in motion.
Earthquakes at Cheviot. They are still having having slight shocks of earthquake at Cheviot. Cricket Match.
In tho Senior Cup cricket match United v. Lancaster Pork, United lost 6 wickets for 249 Frankish not out, 66: Olliver, not out 5 Wigley, 39. Against Midland Sydenham made 193, Eees 46, and Midland 4 wickets for 150, Barry, senr, 33, and Barry, junr, 33. Wheelmen's Club Disbanded. Wellington, This Day.
The centre of the League of Wheelmen have decided to disband, as only one club is remaining under its jurisdiction. A Hopeless Wreck. Dunedin, This Day. The barque Antioco Accame has broken into four pieces, and is a hopeless wreck. The Queen's Birthday.

A Royal salute was fired this morning in honour of Queen Alexandria's birthday.
Seamen's Dispute. Auckland, This Day.
The Seamen's Union dispute goes direct to the Arbitration Court, having joined with the employers in the application that this procedure be adopted. The Oriental Hotel Fire. Wellington, This Day.
The benefit given by the United Theatrical Talent in the city to sufferers in tie Oriental Hotel fire was a brilliint success. The amount already accounted for is £l4O.
