The report of Brabant, S.M., who was appointed !to enquire into the management of the Jubilee Institution for the blind at Auckland, has been forwarded to the Education Department Brabant states that the most serious of all the charges against Mr and Mrs Tighe, the principal and matron, was not proved, but he considers enough has been proved to mike ic incumbent upon the trustees, to seriously consider if Tighe can bo retained as principal. At the same time he testifies to the good work of the Tighes. and says if their services are retained, some person having the sense of sight (Tighe is blind) should bo appointed as manager.
