The weather was fine for the second day’s races and the attendance satisfacfactory. The sum of £21,318 was put through the tote for the meeting, as compared with £20,039 for last year’s spring morning. Results; Petone Handicap—Aide-de-Camp 1, Muscovite 2, Eegret 3. Won by a head. Time 1 44 div £6 6s. Hock Welter —Hokio 1, Gipsy Jack 2, Jingle 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 1 50 ; divs £2 4s 6d and £1 10s. Pearce Handicap—Cannie (Ihiel 1, The Shannon and Fashion dead heat for second place. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 1 59; divs, Cannie Chiel £4 5s Gd, The Shannon 13s, Fashion £T 19s. JuvenileHandioap—sunfish 1, Optimist 2, Drakensberg 3. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 49 1-5 ; divs, £ll 6s and £1 IGs 6d. Second Welter—Eegret 1, Calceolaria 2, Stockade 3.
