Another daring attempt at highway robbery occurred at Botany. A splendidly mounted man attacked the accountant of a boot factory and a companion conveying wages from the bank. The accountant bolted, and was pursued hotly by the robber firing his revolver continuously. When the accountant got away, the robber maintained a revolver duel with the companion, who was armed. On assistance arriving the h'ghwayman escaped.
