The biggest man in Parliament, Mr Seddon, and the smallest man, Mr Pirani, tested their respective weights during a chance meeting at a bazaar at Ashurst the other day. According to a local newspaper, Mr Seddon turned the scale at ease with 20 stone, but Mr Pirani found some difficulty in negotiating Bst Gib. A good example of West Coast Summer weather was according to the Duller Post seen at Lyell on Thursday last. In the morning it snowed heavily in the township for a brief space in the afternoon it was about 75 in the shade ; and it was sleeting again before sunset.
