A BOY MURDERER.
A telegram from Tucson (Arizona Territory), published in the San Francisco Chronicle, dated September 11, says : "Cartos M'Cormick, the 11-year-old murderer, will be tried in October. "While playing upon the streets a few days ago young M'Cormick shot and killed a little companion named Antonio Soto. M'Cormick had rented a 22-calibre rifle, and was shooting birds, when a young American and his sweetheart came along in a buggy. Young M'Cormick said: 'Watch me kill the Gringos.' Antonio Soto, who was standing near M'Cormick when he made the remark, said to him : " Don't shoot them ; shoot me.' Mr. Cormick swung about and levelled the ritie at Soto. He fired, and the bullet penetrated Solo's brain, resulting in death. When the news of the killing reached the ears of young M'Cormick's mother, who was ill in bed, the shock was so great that she died. The little murderer was taken to view the remains of his mother, but he showed no feeling at all on seeing her, and returned to the gaol as though it was to be his home always. He is the son of a Mexican woman named Eosa Ramada, but has been known by the name of M'Cormick."
