QUARTZ MINING RETURNS.

WEST COAST. Beefton, November 19. The return from the Welcome mine is 496 ozs 15 dwts 13 grs of gold, valued at £1,923 13s 9d, from 240 tons of quartz. The Britannia mine (Westport) cleaned up for 74ozs from 55 tons of stone. Kirwan's Reward cleaned up with lOOozs amalgam from 110 tons (top plates only.) AUCKLAND. Auckland, November 18. Turing fhe four weeks ending November 9th, the Waihi Gold Mining Comdany treated 12,747 ton* of ore for a return of £39,904, which constitutes a fresh record. During the current year the Waihi Company had 11 four weekly crushings for a total yield of £385,140, being jE67,138 in excess of the total output for 1900.

The total won from the mine to date is £1,965,166. The total dividends to date amount to £754,379. During the past two weeks the Waitara Gold Mining Company crushed 90 tons for a return valued at £390.
