The attendance was large. The wicket after rolling was good. Graham played with characteristic freedom and showed some pretty ericket. When M’Leod was 10 he was clean bowled by Barnes with a no ball. He took over one hour to put his score together. The batting of the Victorians on the whole was not of the usual standard. The features of the play was the excellent fielding of the Englishmen and the consistently good work of the bowlers. The visitors made a good start m the second innings, M’Gahey’s batting was especially attractive. Both he and Hayward were let off in the field.
