THE MANAWATU SHOW.
(per press association.) Palme sston North, Nov 14. The Manawatu Show tickets sold indicate an attendance of over a thousand on the second day's show, and should the fine weather continue it is anticipated the attendance to-morrow, which is the People’s Day, will greatly exceed the attendance of last year. S. E. Lancaster was awarded the champipnship bull, cow, and jersey classes. First awards were secured by Harkness (Taranaki), Mrs Jennings (Waitaha), J. O. Batchelor (Palmerston) for highest points. The prize for fat cattle was won by McHardy Bros and das. Stuckey. In the remaining classes of cattle Goodacre, of New Plymouth, was the principal prize-taker. In the poultry classes the winning points for the chief prize were obtained by Taplin Bros, 2nd. Collie, classes—T. G. Fowler, Ist. Best collie dog S. D. M’Ewen, Ist. In the best collie slut, classes, and beat collie dog and slut, confined to members of the N.Z. Kennel Club, ,T. H. Hankcn was awarded the former and M’Ewen the latter.
