Tha Baptist Jubilee Conference resumed this morning. Tim teportsofthe amUi-riea were received, Auckland’s

report was especially gratifying. The local preachers report was read and adopted. The Finance Committee brought down a scheme by which the entire deficit will bo cleared off. The meeting was characterised by considerable enthusiasm. The Eev J. J. North, of Spreydon, read a vigorous paper on church methods in relation to the need of time. He pleaded for the revision of practical methods and pulpit phraseology to accomodate the temper of the time. A lengthy and breezy debate ensued which the Rev J. D. Greenhangh summed up at the evening session when the Church was well filled. The President, the Eev A. Collins delivered his address. After an eloquent reference to the Jubilee and a tribute to the pioneers, ho addressed the Assembly on the vital need of modern chnr. bes. The address consisted of a fuller recognition of the essential nature of the work of the Holy Spirit. The address was well received and applauded to a close.
