BURSTING OF A NAVAL GUN.

Athens, November 11

A big gun burst on the battleship Royal Sovereign at Askatos, An officer and six artulcrymen were killed, and the commander and 13 sailors were seriously injured. An artilleryman forgot to close the breech.

A missfire proceeded the accident on the Royal Sovereign, and the smouldering fragment left behind ignited the fresh cartridge prematurely. Captain Spurway is amongst the killed. Nineteen were injured, including Commander Arluthnot.
