More Aggressive Measures. Received this day at 8 54 a.m. London, Nov 11-
Colonel Mackenzie succeeded the late Benson in command of the mobile columns operating in Western Transvaal.
There is to be a revivification of the South African campaign, at an early date on a more aggressive scale. Several regiments from India relieve others at the front. lan Hamilton will be the bearer to Lord Kitchener of the King’s wishes hoping ha will be able to terminate the war prior to the coronation. Received this day at 9 a m. London', Nov 11.
Seven thousand time expired men in India have accepted Bounty Servo in South Africa.
Reserve Squadrons of Cavalry are being prepared and strong drafts will be sent to reinforce the troops at the front. One of the Cheshire and two of the Dorcestershire battalions of militia also go.
