The Midland Railway. Wellington, This Day. Owing to the lateness of the session and the probable strenuous opposition of Mr Fisher and others, the Government have determined not to bring in the Midland Railway Bill to give effect to
the recommendation of the Public Accounts' Committee granting £IIO,OOO to the Midland Railway debenture-holders and £20,C00 to shareholders.
