In the Chamber of Deputies, interpellation was moved by Marcel Sembat, the Badical-deputy of Seine, with a view of dealing effectively with the Porto, and that France should seek agreement with the Powers on behalf ot the Armenians. This was negatived by 394 to 275. The Chamber by 305 to 77 approved of Delcasses statement that the- Government in face of the Porte's bad faith, had determined to energetically enforce in this respect, the rights and interests of France.
