CONCERT AT TOTARA FLAT.

The ninth annual concert in connecticn with the Presbyterian Church was held at Erickson’s Hall on Wednesday evening, and in spite of the bad weather the hall was simply packed and the concert a great success. A number of ladies and gentlemen from Greymouth, with the assistance of the local talent, provided the programme, the concert not concluding until 11 30, owing to nearly every item being encored. The following were the contributors to the enjoyable evening : -Mrs David Duncan, Misses Baybutt (2), Wright (2), Duncan (2), Methven, Holder, McGfllicucldy, Currie, Potts, Messrs Harley, Mitchell, Currie, Holder, Moss, Anted, IN ay lor, "Miller. In addition to tne above, a number of children gave an exhibition of drill. Mr James Marshall occupied the chair, and at the conclusion of the concert moved a hearty vote of thanks to those who had provided such an excellent entertainment. After singing “ Auld Lang Syne ” refreshments were Landed round, full justice being done to all the good things provided by the ladies. The special thanks of the committee are due to Mr Erickson, who gave the ha'l free of charge, and Mrs Methven, who afforded the singers and soloists a treat by placing her fine piano at their disposal.
