Criminal Caught. Sydney, October 25.
The public were recently horrified with the outrage on a young child at Globe. The perpetrator baffled the police. A similar case occurred at Queanbeyan, where a man named Campbell was arrested. He is believed to be identical with the man wanted at Sydney. Australians and the Nayy. According to'Admiral Beaumont, Australians are not yet a seafaring people. There was no difficulty in the way of young Australians entering the Navy, but the applications were very few. possibly because the Australians saw their way to moro profitable careers. It did not come natural to the natives of a warm climate to follow the sea, but the sea-loving spirit of the English-speaking people might assert itself.
