Gauleon beat Acc-tine over eleven furlongs in 2 39. Flagship and Australian Colors did strong work. Ibex is working soundly. San Fran, Grasspan and Haymaker did even time. The betting on the Derby is : 6 to 1 Hautvilliers. 8 to I Grasspan. 5 to 1 Ibex and Bonnie Chiel. 7 to 1 Haymaker. For the Cup 4,000 was taken about Wakeful who is now at 7 to 1.
Revenue is favourite at 6 to 1, others being:—lo to 1 Australian Colors, 12 to 1 Hymettus, 14 to 1 San Fran, 15 to 1 Hautvillers, Flagship and Grasspan, 25 to 1 Haymaker.
Somerled ran a mileiu Imm 45 l-osecs Sarchedon and Demurska sprinted together half a mile in olsccs. Huku and Djin-D]in one mile and a quarter, finishing close together in 2min IGsecs. Hermosa, Whirlwind, and First Light ran six furlongs, Hermosa beating the others easily in Imin 191 secs. Blazer, Gold Spur and Dundas were companions for a five furlongs’ spin. Blazer just had his head in front of Goldspur at the finish, Dundas a length away m Imin 4secs.
After breakfast Cora Linn alone wont fire furlongs in 1 rain 5 secs, galloping very freely. Strathnairn and Magnificient ran six furlongs in 1 min 171 seccs, Strathnairn fEuring much the best of matters.
