THE ’FRISCO HAIL SERVICE.

[per press association —COPYRIGHT.]

Sydney, October 18,

In connection with the remarks of the Queensland Premier on the ’Frisco Mail service, a statement is published here that in the event of New Zealand deciding to subsidise the Canadian line Queensland will be offered the Oceanic, as that State would lose the Canadian.

It ii asserted as probable that the Federal Government would agree to the substitution if Queensland recommended it. As an inducement for the change it is pointed out that the American and English mails would be delivered about three days quicker via Brisbane than via New Zealand.
