Heavy rain fell last night and this morning, which rendered the course heavy. ■ Despite the weather, there was a large attendance. The results are,: — Emo Hurdles —Rackstraw 1, Tatter Wallop 2, Boloka 3 12 started. Betting 5 to 1 Rackstraw. Won easily Time 4 37.

Caulfield Stakes Wakeful 1, Hymettns 2, Australian Colors 3. Seven others ran. Betting even. Sequence, 3 to 1 Wakeful. The laiter led shortly after the start and was never again headed and won easily by six lengths. Time 1 53J. CAULFIELD GUINEAS. Ibex ... 1 Haymaker 2 Grasspan 8 The other starters were Hautviiliers, Corsican, and Caravel. Betting 10 to 1 on Hautviiliers, 4to I against Ibex. A spendid race ensued down the straight between the placed horses. Ibex winning by a length, a head between the second and third, the favorite fourth. Time 1 46;};

Wingwook Steeplechase—Arcadia 1, Orthez 2, Aloha 3. 15 started. Time 4 01. Debutante Stakes—Heloiael 1, Brakpan 2, Nephetos 3. Betting 6to 1 against Heloiso. Won easily by to lengths. Time 50 secs. • Toorak Handicap—Bonnie Chiel 1, Blunderer 2, Militiades 3. All started but Sequence and-Makeful. Won all the way. Dunedin Races—Second Day.

The Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring meeting concluded to-day. The weather was dull but fine and there was a fair attendance. £4OOI 10s was put through, making £8147 for the meeting, against £95Q3 103 last year. The results are

Second Hurdles, 1| mile—Roller 1, Dundee 2, Derry 3. Two others ran. Won by a length. Time, 257 3-5; divs, £2 8s and 16s.

Telegraph Welter, 6 furlongs—Ayrdalo 1, Wild West 2, Vulcan 3. Won by a good length. Time, 119 ; divs, £1 16s 18s. Eanfurly Handicap, 1 mile—Canteen 1, Fulmen ‘i, Pampero 3. Two others started, Won by a good length. Time, 1 45 ; divs, £3 4s and £2 10s. Trial Handicap, 7 furlongs—Donna Eossa 1, Norwester 2, St Ulva 3. Two others ran. Won by six lengths. Time, 1 34, 2-5 ; divs, £2 and 10s.

Shorts Handicap, 5 furlongs—Goldspur 1, Vandyke 2, Battler 3. Won by a length. Time, 15 1-5 ; divs, £1 8s and £1 4s.
