GREY HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

A meeting of the Hospital Trustees was held last evening at the Gilmer Hotel. Present Messrs Petrie (chair), Gieseking, M’Carthy, Smith, and Russell.

A letter of condolence was ordered to be sent to Mrs Kerr, and a record bo placed in the books testifying to the work of the late Hon Jas. Kerr.

From Miss Easson offering to put on “ Dorothy Opera ’’ for the benefit of the Hospital. Resolved that the olf.-r be accepted with thanks, and all assistance given.

From the Foundry and Wharf Laborers forwarding £3 12s, and from the Druids £2 12s, being proceeds from football matches hold. Votes of thanks were ordered to bo sent to the different teams.

Froijo M. Malone, Nelson Creek, asking that a certificate book he sent so as to keep a record of the burials, also complaining that no word had reached them of the death of the late Mr Parker. 11'sclved that the book bo sent and that the doctor bo instructed to forward word to the different districts when anyone dies.

From the Auditor-General certifying to correctness of the balance-sheet for the past twelve months.

The August accounts amounting to £209 2s Bd, and for September amounting t r £173 18s 8d were passed for payment.

During Augusi 63 patients wore treated, there were 14 admitted, 12 discharged and 6 died, leaving 50 in the hospital at end of month. For September the number treated was 71, admitted 21, discharged 15, died 8, remaining in hospital at end of month 48 The Iron, treasurer reported the following receipts:—

The Bank overdraft was £3OB 7s Id and assets £509 14 3, but two months accounts had to be provided for. The visiting committee reported that everything in the Hospital was satisfactory. Messrs. Sheedy, Smith, and Gieseking were appointed a visiting committee for the month. Mr Kettle was appointed trustee tc fill the vacancy oh the Board. The recommendation ,of the Brunnei Borough Council to appoint Mr Creagl in place of Mr Armstrong was agreed to.
