THE JUDGE WAS SATISFIED.
Some time ago a witness in a Scotch court was asked the following questions by the judge:.
" Do you belong to this parish P” “ Maistly, yor honour,” was the reply. “I mean, wore you born In this parish P” asked the judge. “Nay, yer honour, but I maist a native for a’ that ” was the answer, “You came here when you were a child I suppose you mean?” said the judge.
“Weel, yer see, when I came here six year since, I weighed eight stane, and noo I weigh sevedteen stane, so _ yer see nine stane a’ me belangs to this parish, and ither eight comes fra’ Camlachie.”
