Beceived this day at 11 30 a.m. Flbuington, October 8, Vocalist galloped eleven furlongs this morning in 3 33^. Dreamland and Strutter did 10 furlongs in 2 214. Gaulean, Bock, Gun and Australia, a mile in 1 50. Black Watoh a mile in 1 54. Ibex six furlongs in 1 19. Haymaker a mile in 1 49. Grassapan and Sanfran, nine furlongs in 2 1 1-12.

Hautvilliers and The Bride, nine furlongs 2 S. Australian Colors and Flagship, shoeless, together, ten furlongs. The latter won easily in 2 4. The betting on the Caulfield Cup is : 10 to 1 Warrior and Ampler. 14 to 1 Grassapan, Wakeful, Hymottus. 16 to 1 Lucknow. On the Derby : 10 to 9 on Hautrilliera. Melbourne Cup. 10 to 1 Australian Colors, Hautrilliers was well backed at twelves.

Time 29 ; divs, Palaver £3 ss, Battleaxe 7s, Sirius £1 ss. Juvenile Handicap, 44 furlongs—Gold Purse 1, Wheellock 2, Northumberland 3. Time 5 64; divs, £76 3s and £3 4s. Second Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs—la 1, Fleka 2, Calcita 3. Won by half a length. Time 117£; divs, £3 8s and £134.

Final Handicap, 5£ furlongs - Okoari 1, Somerled 2, Pearl Diver 3, Won by a neck. Time 18] ; divs, £2 4s and 18s.
