Tenders have been called for the supply of iron for the pipes and for tha usual elevating plant. A sawmill site was also pegged out where the Company will ereot their own mill to cut the timber for the necessary works in progress.

A splendid boring plant was shipped from Ballarat and has arrived at, Wellington by the Mokoia and is expected any day. This is to be sent to the mouth, of the Waiho where, it will be employed upon the Company’s dredging areas for the next twelve months. Altogether this company means to do its work thoroughly.'
