At a meeting of the Westland Racing" Club, a letter was read from the secretary of the New Zealand Racing Conference approving of the dates selected fot the autumn meeting. Second day: Town Plate, 7 furlongs, £25; Telegraph stakes, 6 furlongs, £80; Hurdle Handicap, If, £4O ; Hokitika Handicap, 9 furlongs, £SO ; Rimu Trot (saddle) 2 miles, £25 ; Auctions Handicap, 7 furlongs, £4O ; Final cap, 1 mile, £25. It was decided to_ out two dividends on the totalisator mjall cases where four or more horses of separate interest start.
