A meeting of the United Irish League in Dublin applauded a letter from William O’Brien stating that if the English King visits Ireland the league will arouse a spirit which will force the conviction upon him that people were disaffected to the core, and only need arms and training of the Boers to testify their hatred of England’s rule.
