Sueing Mining Directors
Dunedin, This Day. The Dunedin shareholders of the Otama, a defunct Company, have decided to sue the directors for damages on taccount of alleged maladminist ration. Another Victim of the War.
Trooper Peter Nelson, of the Fifth Contingent, died in the Hospital. Ho returned by the Tagus and belongs to the Bluff.
Sudden Death. New Plymouth, Oct. 1. A man named Edward Boorman, aged 65, died suddenly while being taken from the Police Court to gaol on remand. He lost his wife some time ago, and has since been drinking heavily and appeared almost irresponsible for his actions. He was formerly a platelayer on the railway line.
Kumeroa Land Arbitration. Napier, Oct. 1
The Compensation Court’s award in the Kumeroa case was £7 15s per acre. The Government offered £3 los. Supreme Court.
Wanganui, Oct 1
At the Supremo Court a man named M’Ginnity was sentenced to 18 months for. theft. Two lads named Foss got twelve months’ probation for shooting a -bullock.
