Washington, September 20. Seventy thousand, visited Canton from all parts of the States, 20,000 forming the procession from the Methodist Church to the cemetery, including Mr. Eoosevelt, the Cabinet, Congressmen, and the chief Generals and Admirals, Foreign Ministers, and representative Americans. There was little pageantry, though 2,000 .Regulars, 5,000 National Guards and a strong force of old veterans participated. • The silent homage was most impressive.

The day was extensively devoted to mourning and prayer. The railway and oilier traffic was largely suspended during the hour of interment.

Mrs. McKinley’s condition is grave. Perth, Sept 20.

A memorial service to McKinley in the Cathedral was largely attended, including the Governors, Ministers, and Judges.

Adelaide, Sept 20,

The American Consulate and a number of places of business were closed and flags were half mast.

• Melbourne, Sept 20. The Stock Exchange closed after the midday call.

Brisbane, This Day.

A meeting of citizens including the Premier, adopted resolutions expressing abhorrence of the assasination of McKinley and sympathy for his relatives.
