(by electric telegraph—copyright.) The American Cup Race. New York, Sept. 17. The first race for the American Cup will be sailed on the 26th inst. Racing Nominations. Napibr, Sept. 17. The Napier Parle Raoing Club have received the following nominations for the Park Stakes Handicap, 200 sovs, at their spring meeting:—Rubin, Ngaio, Okoari, Battleaxe, Cure, St. Mark, Goyt, Menura, Paphos, Jabber, Sirius, Tigress. Mirea, Perfection, Kahuwai, Tauhel, Destroyer. Yictorian Derby and Cup. Sydney, This Day. In connection with the settling over the A.J.C. meeting, there was some lively speculation. Grasspan and Hautvilliers each were backed for the Yictorian Derby at 2 to 1 to win a good stake in the Derby and Melbourne Cup, and in the Melbourne and Caulfield Cups Double Event. In betting their names also figured prominently for large sums.
