ANOTHER BREACH OF PRIVILEGE.

[OUR rABLIAMENTARY EEPOKTEK.]

Wellington, This Duy.

Ano thcr breach of privilege matter is likely to occupy the attention of the House this afternoon. While the mem-

her for Biccarton was yesterday describing to the House what would have happened had Mr Pirani in the Manawatu Standard committed a breach privilege such as the ODe under discussion. Mr Hornsby and others exclaimed that he had done something worse, evidently referring to an article published in the " Standard " last year relating to the degradation of Parliament. Mr Russell thereupon challenged the members to point out any breach of privilege in the "Manawatu Standard," and "I accept challenge" cried Mr Hoimsby. It is now stated that the member for Wairarapa intends to take immediate action.

Referring to the article last night, Mr Fraser (Napier) stated that the article imputed drunkenness of members of Parliament and a stigma had been cast on every one of them.
