Sydney Electric Trams. Sydney, Sept 12. Owing to a sudden increase of pressure on the switch board at the ultimo-power house controlling the electric tram system it will probably dislocate the service for a week. The dynamos sustained no damage. Later. The electric tramway system is dislocated owing to the sudden "increase in the pressure at the ultimo-power house. There was a sudden crashing noise, a blinding flash. The light switch board was destroyed and flames spread to the •roof. The fire was quickly extinguished. All the tramways in a radius of seven miles were stopped. Steam motors will be utilised to-day until repairs are executed. A Parliamentary Row. Brisbane, Sept. 13. Daring the debate in Committee, Kerr a Labor member,' expressed a hope of getting a better , chairman next time and refused to withdraw remarks. He was suspended for 24 hours.
