Railway Wagons. Wellington, August 27. In July last year the Railway Department ordered a thousand wagons from Great Britain, and, in order to cxpediate the supply and to get them for the barvest season, they spread the order among > a number of firms. Up to tbo present time dnly 410 wagons hive been sent and of these only 207 are fitted up and running. It is expected that they will be received by the end of the year. Labour Disputes."

The Conoilation Board gave its recommendations to-day in the ironmoulders' dispute recommending that the working week should not exceed 46§ hours; overtime to be paid as additional work; that the minimum should be la 3d per hour for competent journeymen, and Is 1-J pec hour for range plate work; that tho proportion of apprentices to journeymen should be one to three, and that apprentices should be indentured for three years except plate moulding; that piece work be abolished, and that only apprentices and journeymen be employed.
