WILLIAM BLAIR.
Bv the death of Mr. William Blair yet another of those stalwart, hardy pioneers, who opened the West Coast and who aided the opening and development of the Victorian goldfields, has gone from amongst us. The deceased, who had attained the ripe old age of 74, had to within a few months led a particularly active lffe; indeed, up to the very last the old man was full of energy. A thorough, straightforward and honest man of a kindly nature he was held in high esteem by all who were brought in contact with him He leaves a large family, ali grown up, to mourn his loss.
