A man about 40 to 45 years of age was 'erribly mutilated at tho Rattray street crossing la->r, night. So fur he has not been identified, and nothing was found on him to give any clue. The mm was evidently caught by the train shutting while going or coming from tho witarf, and earned from one side of the street to the other, probably a dozen waggons passing
over him. His left thigh and right arm are smashed. The right foot and right hand were cut off, and three-fourths of the scalp torn away, and his chest injured. He was taken to the hospital, where ho died about 11 30.
